Therapist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)

The treatment Annum provides is personalized to each participant, who will have a support team composed of a therapist (licensed clinical social worker), a behavioral health coach and a physician — all of whom share a passion for helping people improve their own lives. The therapist plays an integral role in a participant’s care by evaluating each individual’s needs, delivering efficacious cognitive behavior therapy and relapse prevention through Annum’s HIPAA-compliant technology platform to conduct sessions by phone. Therapists supports participant’s journey by utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to enhance motivation and compliance as well as address ambivalence. This tech-enabled, flexible and convenient approach allows the therapist to reach and provide care to a broader population.  A positive, empathetic and nonjudgmental approach are natural-born traits of the therapist, who takes personal responsibility for partnering with each participant to map out an individual treatment plan for each Annum participant on their journey toward a happier and more fulfilling life. 




  • Provide cognitive behavioral therapy, counseling, support, education and consultation to participants
  • Provide brief, focused individual therapy by phone following evidence-based manual and Annum protocols to ensure consistent and successful outcomes
  • Evaluate crisis situations and facilitate emergency protocols as appropriate
  • Facilitate on-line group-based social support forum to holistically address medical and behavioral health needs
  • Act as critical care team member for a small comprehensive care team, participating in supervision and case conferences to enhance outcomes
  • Work with Physicians and Behavioral Health Coaches to improve behavioral health skilss and enhance quality of comprehensive care



  • Currently licensed to practice independently in the state(s) where services are provided 
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, or equivalent
  • Experience in an inter-disciplinary medical setting
  • Excellent working knowledge of evidence-based treatments for mental health conditions
  • Highly skilled in cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy while remaining steadfast with protocols
  • Exceptional capacity to multitask, is flexible, and is comfortable with ambiguity
  • Comfortable working with an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and teaching skills
  • Communicates effectively with people regarding sensitive subject matter
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Clear, concise note writing and documentation a must
  • Ability to exercise appropriate judgement is critical
  • Detail oriented
  • Reliable, trustworthy, flexible, and ability to be discreet
  • Self-managed; skilled at managing a high volume of work and prioritizing
  • Spanish speaking skills a plus
